2011 World Boy Scout Jamboree

The 22nd World Scout Jamboree which will take place in 2011 will bring together thousands of young people – girls and boys, aged between 14 and 17 – and adult leaders from around the world.

The Jamboree campsite will be in Rinkaby, outside the town of Kristianstad in the very south of Sweden.

The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will take place from July 27 thru August 7, 2011 in Kristianstad, Sweden with around 40,000 Scouts expected to attend from around the world.

Scouts from every country in the world should have the chance to come to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree. To help Scouts who have economic difficulties to participate in the Jamboree, a solidarity fund has been established, called Operation One World. Operation One World will ensure that all fund recipients have everything they need to fully participate in the event.

Fundraising for Operation One World has already begun, and several large target donors have been identified. National Scout Organizations are also essential to the success of the Operation. Contributions to Operation One World can be through direct financial donations or through helping participants from a specific part of the world. Contingents are encouraged to think about how they can expand any existing partnerships they have to include participation at the Jamboree.
